Financial Officers Forum - This Friday!

If you’re wrestling with real client issues and want fresh, practical perspective, this Friday’s Financial Officers’ Forum (FOF) is built for you. It’s a focused, confidential session where senior finance leaders—CFOs, Controllers, and other executives—put current consulting challenges on the table and work through them with peers from across chapters.

Ed Schaffer, a long-time FEI Silicon Valley Member and current officer, calls FOF one of the events he values most because of the depth and honesty of the discussion. He sees it as a rare forum where people speak from experience, test ideas, and walk away with clearer ways to tackle the challenges on their desks.

If you want to hear what consulting CFOs are actually encountering in today’s environment (and how they’re handling it), join the conversation this Friday.

Financial Officers Forum (FOF) will be held virtually on Friday, July 24th, from 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm Pacific.

Let's Play Topgolf Together!

Golf has long been a backdrop for meaningful business relationships...but not everyone needs a full course to be part of that experience. Topgolf brings that same spirit into a setting that’s approachable, social, and built for connection. Join us for a Topgolf Social this summer!

At its core, Topgolf is a modern, interactive take on traditional golf, where players aim for oversized targets, track their shots in real time, and enjoy great food and drinks in a lively, relaxed environment. No experience required. It’s just as enjoyable for someone picking up a club for the first time as it is for a seasoned player.

For non-golfers, Topgolf removes the pressure and replaces it with energy. There’s no need to know the rules or keep score. Just step up, take a swing, and enjoy the atmosphere. It’s an easy, natural way to meet peers, start conversations, and unwind after the workday.

For golfers, Topgolf offers something different, including a chance to refine your swing, engage in a little friendly competition, and stay connected to the game in a more casual, social setting.

For financial executives, it’s an ideal middle ground, offering part networking event, part gameplay. Whether you’re learning the basics or just enjoying the rhythm of the game, Topgolf creates space for real conversations, shared moments, and stronger professional relationships.

Join FEI Silicon Valley for an evening that blends connection, activity, and a fresh take on how business relationships are built.

FEISV Topgolf & Social will be held at Topgolf in Burlingame on Wednesday, August 19th, from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm Pacific.

Common Risks for Fleets and Logistics Businesses

Transportation and logistics companies play a critical role in keeping goods moving throughout the supply chain. Whether operating a small local fleet, a regional distribution network, or a nationwide transportation operation, businesses face a wide range of risks that can affect profitability, customer relationships, and day-to-day operations.

While vehicle accidents often receive the most attention, many significant transportation risks involve workforce challenges, cargo exposures, cyber threats, regulatory requirements, equipment failures, and supply chain disruptions.

Understanding these risks can help fleet operators, carriers, distributors, manufacturers, and logistics providers make more informed decisions about safety, operations, and risk management strategies.
