Latest Trends in FEI

We’re looking forward to bringing our FEI Silicon Valley community together again at the Annual FEISV BBQ.

Coming off the success of our 27th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament, there’s a real sense of momentum across the Chapter—and it continues as we look ahead to the Women’s CFO of the Year Awards come the fall. The Annual FEISV BBQ is a chance to stay connected in between, to carry that energy forward, and to spend time with the people who make these moments so meaningful.

We’re grateful to host this year’s BBQ at Pillsbury, our valued Partner, in their beautifully remodeled space. With inviting indoor and outdoor areas, it’s the perfect setting for a relaxed evening filled with conversation, connection, and a genuine sense of community.

More than anything, this event is about you—our Members and Partners. It’s a chance to step away from the day-to-day, enjoy each other’s company, and celebrate what we’re building together.

We hope you’ll join us for an evening that feels as welcoming as it is energizing.

Annual FEI Silicon Valley BBQ will  be held at Pillsbury in Palo Alto on Tuesday, July 21st, from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm Pacific.

Help Our Chapter Win Complementary Registration to the 2027 Financial Leaders Forum with a Quick Survey

We need your help shaping the future of FEI.

Your input ensures that FEI continues to deliver meaningful value to its Members and Chapters. The more responses we receive, the better we can align our offerings with what matters most to you.

To encourage participation, FEI is also introducing a friendly competition: the two Chapters with the highest number of completed survey responses will each receive a complimentary registration to the 2027 Financial Leaders Forum in Minneapolis.

It’s a great way to boost engagement while earning a valuable professional development opportunity for your Chapter.

Beyond AI: The Technology Agenda Every Financial Leader Needs to Address Now

The pressure on financial leaders to develop a point of view on artificial intelligence has been relentless. Boards want AI strategies. Leadership teams want ROI frameworks. Auditors want governance controls.

And while the expectations around AI continue to stack up, a separate – and equally consequential – wave of technology challenges has been building in the background.

The reality for financial leaders in 2026 is not just that AI is transforming their function. It's that AI is transforming their function at the same time that quantum computing is threatening current encryption standards, digital assets are entering the regulatory mainstream, cybersecurity threats are growing in speed and sophistication, and a new generation of finance professionals has arrived with a fundamentally different relationship with technology.

Managing any one of these shifts would be demanding. Managing all of them simultaneously – while maintaining the governance frameworks, internal controls, and accountability structures that financial leaders are responsible for – is the defining challenge of the moment.

The work your nonprofit does is vital to the community. But to keep that work going for the long haul, the systems behind the scenes need to be just as strong as the passion driving your mission.

How Nonprofits Endure is a four-part webinar series designed to help nonprofit leaders move from the pressure of day-to-day survival to the peace of long-term sustainability.

Through practical, education-led conversations, we will explore how to link fundraising insight with a realistic strategy and the operational infrastructure needed to scale your impact.

How Nonprofits Endure: Balancing Strategy, Data, and Operations will be held virtually on Thursday, July 30th, from 9:00 am - 10:00 am Pacific.
