Latest Trends in FEI

Join a candid conversation with investors and operators on how AI is changing the way SaaS performance is measured and valued.

As AI reshapes products, pricing models, and cost structures, the metrics finance leaders have relied on for years are shifting. Growth efficiency, retention, and margins still matter, but they’re being reinterpreted in a market where AI introduces both new upside and new volatility.

In this session, we’ll unpack how venture, private equity, and public market investors are actually evaluating SaaS companies today. More importantly, we’ll focus on what this means for finance leaders responsible for telling the company’s story, defending valuation, and guiding smarter decisions.

What we’ll cover:

  • Where AI is putting pressure on traditional SaaS models
  • How leading companies are adapting their financial strategies
  • Which metrics matter now—and which ones matter less

If you’re a CFO or senior finance leader, this is a chance to get a clearer read on what the market is prioritizing...and how to stay ahead of it.

Unlock The Metrics That Matter in an AI Driven Saas Landscape will be held at the Wells Fargo Innovation Center in Menlo Park on Tuesday, April 28th, from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm Pacific.FEISV Members & Partners, and FEI San Francisco Members: Free     |    Non-Members: $135     |     RegistrationHere

Oracle NetSuite vs. Sage Intacct

Choosing between Oracle NetSuite and Sage Intacct is a defining decision in how your finance function grows and operates.

While both platforms are cloud-native and built for modern finance teams, they diverge in meaningful ways. From system architecture to reporting flexibility to how they handle complexity over time, each has unique attributes that could be beneficial for your company. Those differences can shape everything from day-to-day workflows to long-term scalability.

Join us as a panel of experts offers a clear, real-world comparison. You’ll hear where each platform excels, where tradeoffs tend to show up, and how finance teams are thinking about these decisions today.

What we’ll cover:

  • Key differences in how NetSuite and Intacct support finance workflows
  • How each platform scales across entities, reporting, and integrations
  • What finance teams wish they understood earlier in the evaluation process

For CFOs and finance leaders evaluating their next move, this is an opportunity to get a practical, experience-driven perspective that goes beyond product positioning.

Oracle NetSuite vs. Sage Intacct will be held at the Wells Fargo Innovation Center in Menlo Park on Thursday, May 7th, from 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm Pacific.

Unlocking QSBS: Tax Advantages and Valuation Considerations

QSBS can unlock a massive tax benefit. Yet most teams only realize what they missed when it is too late to fix.

Join valuation experts virtually for a session built for finance leaders who want to get ahead of the irreparable damage. We’ll unpack how the QSBS rules really work in practice, where companies commonly trip over eligibility, and how valuation and the “gross assets test” can quietly make or break the outcome.

You’ll walk away with a clearer view of when QSBS is on the table, what could put it at risk, and how to turn a complex rule set into a tangible planning opportunity for your company and shareholders.

Unlocking QSBS: Tax Advantages and Valuation Considerations will be held virtually on Tuesday, May 12th, from 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm Pacific.

The Big Switch: Weighing the Costs of Converting a C Corp to an S Corp

Operating as an S corporation can be a powerful tool, often helping small businesses reduce their federal employment tax burden, a major win for your bottom line. But before you leap from a C corporation (C Corp) to an S corporation (S Corp), there are hidden tax landmines that can make the transition costly if you’re not prepared.

Converting is not just a form filing; it’s a fundamental change with lasting tax consequences.

You can’t simply decide to be an S Corp; you must fit the blueprint established by the IRS. If your business fails certain core requirements, the switch is a non-starter.
