Latest Trends in FEI

The best business conversations don’t always happen across a conference table. They happen between swings, laughs, and a little friendly competition.

Join fellow finance leaders at Topgolf on Wednesday, August 19th for one of FEISV’s most anticipated networking events. It has become a reliable favorite among FEISV Members, offering a more natural way to reconnect with peers and meet new finance leaders.

You don’t need to be a golfer. But when a client, colleague, or prospective business partner suggests a round, it helps to be comfortable picking up a club and taking a swing.

Topgolf is the perfect low-pressure place to learn, practice, or show off your game. Plus, it's a unique game in its own right. So, long-time golfers can always meet a new challenge!

FEISV Topgolf & Social will be held at Topgolf in Burlingame on Wednesday, August 19th, from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm Pacific.

AI: Hype or Reality? A CIO's Perspective on the Future of the Enterprise and the Office of the CFO

Artificial intelligence dominates every boardroom conversation, but separating genuine transformation from inflated expectations remains a challenge for finance and technology leaders alike.

Join us at Pillsbury for AI: Hype or Reality? A CIO's Perspective on the Future of the Enterprise and the Office of the CFO, a candid discussion on how today's CIOs are evaluating, adopting, and operationalizing AI across large organizations and what it means for the modern finance function.

AI: Hype or Reality? A CIO's Perspective on the Future of the Enterprise and the Office of the CFO will be held at Pillsbury in Palo Alto on Tuesday, September 15th, from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm Pacific.

Market Minute: Baby Boomers and Gen X Leave the Workforce via our Gold Partners at RSM

Long-run changes to American demography could be observed in the July U.S. employment report with the decline in the labor force participation rate of those 55 and older to 36.9%.

Over the past year, participation among that cohort has declined from 38.1% to 36.9%, or 1.2%, which is broadly comparable to the 1.7% decline during the worst of the pandemic.

When seen through a longer time frame, there are now 27 million more Americans age 65 and older than there were in 2005.

In 2005, that group comprised 12% of the population; by 2025, it was 18%. The baby boom generation began to age around 20 years ago, with the oldest of that group now pushing 80.

This shift, along with restrictive immigration policies, are having a significant impact on the supply side of the American labor market.

They are the two major factors behind why the U.S. economy needs to generate only about 35,000 jobs per month to keep labor conditions stable.
