Latest Trends in FEI

We’re bringing the FEI Silicon Valley community together for an evening that goes beyond networking—it’s about strengthening the relationships that make this chapter valuable.

Join us at Topgolf on August 19th for a relaxed, high-energy event designed to connect new, current, and prospective Members, along with our Partners and Chapter Leaders. Whether you’re looking to expand your network, deepen existing relationships, or engage with peers in a more informal setting, this is where it happens.

Strong Chapters aren’t built through emails and meetings alone. They’re developed through shared experiences, genuine conversations, and moments of connection outside the boardroom. Events like this create the camaraderie that turns professional contacts into trusted peers and long-term collaborators.

Expect an evening of great food, drinks, and friendly competition, all while building the kind of relationships that elevate both your professional network and your overall FEI experience.

FEISV Topgolf & Social will be held at Topgolf in Burlingame on Wednesday, August 19th, from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm Pacific.

Make a Difference in the Finance Community's Future

The Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament supports an incredible cause with the FEI Scholarship Fund, but our commitment to developing the future of finance extends far beyond a single day.

Each year, we award 6–8 scholarships to finance and accounting students across four Bay Area colleges. To date, more than $774,000 has been awarded to students in their junior and senior years. These recipients are selected not only for academic excellence but also for leadership demonstrated through extracurricular involvement and a clear vision for their careers.

Our support does not stop at financial assistance. Scholarship winners and finalists are welcomed as FEI Rising Star Members, gaining access to ongoing mentorship and meaningful interaction with senior financial executives. This continued engagement helps bridge the gap between education and real-world leadership, shaping the next generation of finance professionals.

While the golf tournament is a cornerstone of this effort, sustaining and growing this impact requires year-round support. Expanding opportunities for these students depends on the strength of our community.

There are two ways to contribute:

  • Donate with a charitable receipt: The FEI Scholarship Fund 1388 is managed by the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations can be made through their PayPal platform, and the full amount goes directly to the scholarship fund.
  • Donate without a charitable receipt: Companies that prefer to contribute through a business expense can support FEI Silicon Valley’s general fund, which directly benefits student scholarships.

Your support helps ensure that high-potential students receive not only financial assistance, but also the guidance, access, and professional foundation they need to succeed.

Raised to Never Quit: Dolly Lalvani on Mentorship, Belonging, and Building the Network You'll Need

Some of the strongest lessons in financial leadership arrive long before anyone sets foot in a boardroom. That is the throughline of the latest episode of the FEI Podcast, recorded live at the FEI Financial Leaders Forum in San Antonio, and featuring Dolly Lalvani, a CPA whose career has taken her from India to Belize to the United States.

Dolly's path to the CPA license was not a straight line. After failing three sections of the exam multiple times, she called her father, a former chartered accountant, and told him she was done. His response became a promise between them: he believed she would pass the next time she sat for it, if she agreed to sit for it no matter what. Her father passed away that November.

In February, Dolly learned she had passed all four parts. That story, and her father's insistence that he had not raised a quitter, set the tone for a career Dolly says has never been shaped by one person alone.
