Latest Trends in FEI
An audit or IPO requires more than having the right numbers in place. Companies are expected to explain how their results, forecasts, and risks connect, and to show that their reporting and controls consistently support that explanation.
Join finance and business leaders for a focused discussion on how to build and support an investor-facing narrative using reliable data. This session will look at how KPIs, forecasts, and internal controls align with the story presented to investors, regulators, and the board.
We will cover ways to spot gaps between what the business is reporting and what it is claiming, and how to address those gaps before they become issues during diligence. The discussion will also explore how teams can create consistency across reporting, operations, and leadership communication.
Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how to evaluate their current narrative, how to confirm it is supported by accurate and consistent metrics, and how to make adjustments so it holds up under review.
IPO and Audit-Ready Finance: Controls, Metrics, and the Story Investors Will Scrutinize will be held at PwC in San Jose on Tuesday, June 2nd, from 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm Pacific.

Play In A Scramble Golf Tournament for a Good Cause: No Experience Needed!
A scramble tournament is golf’s most beginner-friendly format, and it’s built for fun, teamwork, and conversation—not scorekeeping anxiety. Join in on a time-honored tradition and a fun day of golf at the 27th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament, presented by Robert Half & FEI Silicon Valley!
Everyone in your foursome hits a shot, the group picks the best ball, and then you all play from there, repeating that process until the hole is finished. That means you’re never “holding anyone back." The team always moves forward from the strongest shot, and newer golfers can relax, enjoy the day, and still contribute.
Scrambles are a staple for charity and corporate outings because they create an easy, social environment where players of all levels can participate on a level playing field.
For finance executives, that format is ideal. You get a few hours outside the boardroom to build relationships, talk shop between shots, and experience your peers in a more human, low-pressure setting. Because the structure is collaborative, you can learn the rhythm and etiquette of golf in real time, without the spotlight on every swing.
If golf has ever felt like a “missing skill” for future business deals or client entertainment, a scramble is the perfect way to learn the game, quietly build confidence, and start saying yes to more invitational rounds. By the end of the day, you’ll have stories, new connections, and a stronger golf comfort level you can carry into future networking and deal-making.
The 27th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament, hosted by Robert Half & FEI Silicon Valley, will be held on Thursday, June 4th, at the Coyote Creek Golf Club in Morgan Hill.

Your Leadership Pipeline Won’t Build Itself: Why Executive Sponsorship Matters Now
Financial leaders across the profession are facing a familiar tension: the need for strong leadership bench strength alongside growing operational complexity, talent constraints, and succession risk. While the conversation around the finance talent pipeline often focuses on hiring and technical capability, the more pressing issue is whether organizations are actively preparing their people to step into leadership roles when the business needs them most.
Executive sponsorship accelerates leadership readiness by ensuring high-potential professionals receive structured development before succession pressure arrives.

Do You Have a Legacy Folder?
Benjamin Franklin famously said that “in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes”, yet all too often many of us avoid planning for death leaving an unnecessary burden for our loved ones after we are gone.
During such an emotional time, a little advance planning can make life so much easier for those left behind.
