Negotiating Effectively: What Works for Women.

We all negotiate a variety of issues and items every day. Women in finance walk a tightrope during negotiations: how can you be assertive enough to get what you need, without burning bridges?

In this interactive workshop for FEI’s women’s section, you’ll better understand your strengths, and learn a six-step process to help you negotiate more effectively. Whether you’re negotiating your next promotion or making recommendations to senior executives, you’ll leave armed with practical steps you can immediately take to get better results and build more effective relationships.

After participating in this session, you will:

• Learn practical techniques you can immediately apply to your interactions
• Understand the six stages of successful negotiations
• Identify valuable “currencies” you can exchange to impact the terms of a negotiation
• Adjust your approach so you can collaborate and be flexible, while getting what you need
