How is the market for senior financial executives in Silicon Valley? What experience do I need right now? How do I get on the right recruiter’s radar? How do I stand out?

 

This month four top executive recruiters will share their 2017 market outlook for Silicon Valley. They will discuss how recruiters should fit into an FEI member’s search strategy, how and when FEI members can establish relationships with recruiters and the key skills that clients are asking for right now. They will share their thoughts on how best to work with recruiters, tips on resumes and interviewing, tricks that recruiters use to learn about you.

 
 


This meeting will benefit FEI members who are thinking about their next career moves, and give senior managers an understanding the current market for Finance talent.

Dave Arnold
Arnold Partners

Dave
specializes in the recruitment of exceptional CFOs and Board Members for technology companies located in tech hubs across the U.S. He works with clients backed by  top-tier venture  capital and  private equity firms,  and with  public companies. Edgardo G. Montoya
Spencer Stuart

Based in Silicon Valley, Ed Montoya is a member of Spencer Stuart’s Financial Officer, Private Equity and Technology, Media & Telecommunications practices. With more than 15 years of experience advising clients on major organizational and leadership initiatives, Ed focuses on CFO and other senior finance searches for clients across a variety of industries, most notably high technology, e-commerce, communications and industrial. Prior to transitioning into executive search, Ed was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley, where he advised companies in both technology and financial services on mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions. He also worked at investment management company Affiliated Managers Group, where he assisted in the sourcing, evaluation and completion of five acquisitions as well as the company’s successful IPO on the New York Stock Exchange. Ed graduated with a B.A. in economics with high distinction from the University of California, Berkeley, and earned his M.B.A. from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles.

 

Christopher Faralli
Russell Reynolds Associates

Chris' work spans multiple industries, but the majority of his client portfolio is focused around technology companies, financial services institutions, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations. He recently partnered with a start-up pre-IPO internet company to recruit the Head of Investor Relations and Head of Internal Audit, and has worked extensively with global banking institutions, alternative investment firms, health plans and high-growth technology companies.

 

Chris received his B.A. in Political Science from The University of Pennsylvania.

 

Maggie Hazelrig

Maggie Hazelrig is a Managing Director specializing in executive and senior-level searches. Maggie is best known by her clients for her collaborative and effective search approach. She has been a trusted partner and advisor to her clients by understanding both the interpersonal and business needs and helping them identify, acquire and retain top talent.

 

Based in the firm’s San Francisco Office, Maggie conducts searches both throughout the United States and internationally.

 

Maggie has over a decade of business and consulting experience. Prior to joining Robert Half Executive Search, Maggie was the Managing Partner of a boutique search firm that focused on executive level, legal search. She was also a Director of Recruiting at a management consulting boutique.

 

She is actively involved in the San Francisco Symphony, sitting on the Advisory Board of its largest league and on the Corporate Sponsorship Committee for the Board of Trustees. Maggie Co-Chaired Opening Night of the Symphony in 2010 and 2012. Maggie sat on the Board of Dress for Success’ San Francisco Board for four years and co-chaired the organization’s largest annual fundraiser three years in a row. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, including Provisors and the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), where she sits on the Board of the San Francisco Chapter. She continues to stay active with her high school alma mater, Castilleja School, where she sits on the Alumnae Association’s Executive Committee.

 

Maggie graduated from the University of Southern California where she earned her Bachelors in Political Science, with double minors in Business and French.
