Emotional Intelligence ~ It’s Not An Oxymoron
- This event has passed.
Emotional Intelligence (EI) is a powerful tool for every 21st Century business professional because it helps to transform hard to measure skills such as team dynamics, stress management, and decision making into tangible development plans. At its core, Emotional Intelligence is not about feelings. It is a paradigm through which people view and react to the world around them. This presentation introduces the core elements of the EQ-I 2.0 Emotional Intelligence model and demonstrates how they can be leveraged to build successful working teams.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe Emotional Intelligence 2.0 model and how it can be used to build successful working teams.
- Discuss how Emotional Intelligence can be leveraged to build leadership skills such as team dynamics, stress management and decision making.
- Explain how Emotional Intelligence strategies can be adapted to address the varying need of clients and firm relationships.
Speaker:
Susan Schwartz uses Emotional Intelligence tools to help people who are expert in their field hone people-focused skills such as, business development, client management, and building firm relationships.
In addition to her many years of experience working with global teams, she holds an M.S. in Organization Development and Knowledge Management.
Recently, she published Creating a Greater Whole: A Project Manager‘s Guide to Becoming a Leader, which unlocks the not-so-secret secrets of how aspiring managers can become strong leaders.
