Rob Schmidt leads the firm’s International Tax Practice in the Bay Area and brings over 30 years of experience working with US and international clients on all aspects of their international tax needs. Rob began his career in business litigation, transitioning to domestic and international business and tax planning for a national accounting and law firm. Rob’s experience spans multiple industries, and he has worked with entities of all sizes, including multi-billion-dollar services businesses, telecommunication, technology, private equity funds and consumer product start-ups. He also has in-house experience where he helped plan and implement the incorporation and structuring of its associated partnerships in the Western Hemisphere in preparation for a $15 billion public offering. As director and international tax counsel at a prominent Bay Area consumer products company, Rob was also responsible for the international in-house tax strategy and planning.
