The Climate Challenge: A Panel Discussion

  • This event has passed.

Climate change is the existential threat of our time. It affects not only our personal lives, but businesses as well. The Federal Reserve has identified climate change as an important factor in determining long term interest rates. Many large investment funds, including the University of California endowment fund, have divested their fossil fuel investments of more than $13 trillion to date. BlackRock Investments’ Larry Fink has stated that “climate change has become a defining factor in companies’ long term prospects”. To help you unravel the complexities of this challenge, join a distinguished panel of climate activists to learn about the science of climate change, the solutions presently available, the new technologies on the horizon, and the actions you can take from a personal and business perspective to address this problem. Register for this timely online seminar now.

Served on many non-profit Boards of Directors, including 11 years at the Foundation for Global Community and 7 years on Silicon Valley Federal Credit Union, 3 years as Chairman of the Board. In 2018, I joined the Elders Climate Action leadership team, and Elders Action Network Board of Directors, and was elected Vice-President/Treasurer. I have attended the Climate Reality Project (CRP) training with Al Gore in August, 2018, joined the Santa Clara County Chapter of CRP, and am actively participating in their speaker’s bureau, presenting the Climate Crisis and solutions and publish a weekly climate newsletter.
